As we head into the final stretch of the year, we’re excited to share some powerful new features that have just been added to Dryfta. These updates are designed to make your event planning more efficient and your events even more impactful.
Here’s what’s new:
1. Notifications for Speakers & Moderators:
We’ve introduced a new feature that allows your speakers and moderators to send notifications directly to all attendees of their sessions. This ensures clear communication and keeps everyone in the loop, right from the people leading the discussions.
2. Reorganization of Program Settings:
To make navigating the platform even easier, we’ve reorganized the program settings into more intuitive sections like Speaker settings, Moderator settings, Appearance settings, Conflict settings, and Bulk edit tools. This reorganization is all about helping you find what you need quickly and manage your event settings more effectively.
3. Bulk Download of Session Calendars:
In the “My Schedule” section, we’ve added a new button that lets attendees bulk download all their session calendars (iCal, gCal, and Outlook) in one go. Plus, we’ve set up a cron job to refresh the .ics file every few hours, ensuring that the calendar data is always up to date.
4. View or Download Participants List:
Speakers can now view or download a list of participants who have added their session to their schedules. This export includes attendees’ first and last names, roles, and organizations, making it easier for speakers to engage with their audience before, during, and after the event.
5. Custom Favicon Upload:
Event organizers, who purchased the white-label add-on, now have the option to upload their own favicon, giving your event platform a more personalized touch and aligning it with your brand identity.

AILA (International Association of Applied Linguistics)
This month, we’re excited to spotlight AILA, an esteemed global organization in the field of Applied Linguistics. AILA has successfully hosted two major world conferences with Dryfta—AILA 2021, a fully virtual event with over 2,000 attendees, submitting 1700+ abstracts, and participating in 250+ sessions, and AILA 2023, a hybrid event with 1,500 attendees, including 500 virtual participants. Attendees engaged seamlessly with speakers through our virtual meeting platform and interacted via live chat. With over 8,000 members worldwide, AILA continues to drive impactful research and policy in linguistics. We’re proud to support their efforts!
