Our latest updates aim to provide admins with more granular control over their responsibilities and access within the platform. Here's a detailed look at each of the new features we've rolled out.

#1 Limiting Session Access Based on Abstract Topics

In roles and access control settings, we've added an option that allows you to limit an admin's access to only those sessions whose abstracts' topics/sub-topics match with the topic assigned to the track chair. This ensures that track chairs or admins focus solely on their area of expertise, streamlining the review, abstract management and event scheduling process. By default, the system will grant access to all the sessions in the event schedule.

#2 Creating Reviewers with Topic-Specific Access

If a track chair or track admin is assigned to a specific topic or sub-topic, they will now only be able to select that particular topic or sub-topic when creating a reviewer from the backend. This ensures that reviewers are specialized in the topics they are assigned to, thereby enhancing the quality of the review process. Additionally, when an admin has access to a specific topic, they will only be able to add abstracts related to that particular topic or type.

#3 Extended Access Control Based on Sub-Topics

Until now, our roles and access editor only allowed limiting access based on primary topics and types. We've extended this feature to include sub-topics as well. If an admin has access to a specific sub-topic, they can now view all abstract submissions related to that sub-topic, even if they do not have access to the parent topic. This adds another layer of granularity to the access control system.

#4 Super User Access for Selected Admins

We've introduced a super user access option that allows selected admins to have overarching control over the platform. Admins with super user access can create new events, copy past events, and even access the billing dashboard for renewing plans and viewing available credits. Additionally, they have the authority to remove or disable other admins, providing a centralized control mechanism for larger events.
