Smarter Matchmaking, Bigger Email Campaigns, and Ticket-Specific Payment Methods

IBTM World 2025

As events continue to evolve, so does Dryfta. Our latest round of updates is focused on giving you better ways to connect people, manage complexity, and stay organized without friction. Whether you’re coordinating speakers, handling payments, or helping attendees find the right people to talk to, these new tools are here to make your job easier.

Here’s a quick rundown of what’s new and what’s improved.

πŸ’¬ Matchmaking Meets Meetings

Our matchmaking feature just got a major power-up. Attendees can now take real action when they find someone they’d like to connect with:

  • Tap “Request Meeting” directly on matched profiles

  • Recipients can accept or decline the request

  • Once accepted, either person can book a time via “Set Up a Meeting”

  • Admins can bulk pre-schedule accepted meetings from the backend

  • Meeting limits can be customized by user roles

  • Attendees can track everything under their “My Meetings” tab

This is by far the most complete matchmaking system we’ve built and it’s already live across all events.

✍️ Take Notes Wherever You Are

Taking notes during a session or a meeting just became easier. A new Take Notes button inside the event app lets attendees jot down what matters, exactly when it matters. No switching tabs or hunting for a notepad.

πŸ”„ Smarter Abstract Auto-Assignments

You asked, we listened. Abstract submissions can now be automatically assigned to reviewers based on:

  • Submission Type (e.g., poster, oral)

  • Submission Track (e.g., AI, public health, education, etc.)

This gives you more control over who reviews what, and ensures that reviewers get submissions aligned with their expertise.

πŸ“¬ Email Broadcasts That Scale Big Time

Need to send emails to 100,000+ attendees or authors? No problem.
Our email module has been re-engineered to support massive campaigns without a hitch; ideal for acceptance notifications, reminders, or last-minute program updates.

πŸ’³ Ticket-Specific Payment Methods

Different tickets, different rules. You can now set specific payment options per ticket. For example:

  • Ticket A → Wire Transfer only

  • Ticket B → Online payment only

  • Ticket C → All available methods

This is especially helpful for managing institutional billing, country-specific payment restrictions, or VIP categories.

βœ‰οΈ Acceptance Letters, Now Even More Personalized

Need to send different acceptance letters for poster vs oral presentations? Or personalize based on track, tags, or custom fields?

Now you can. Send bulk acceptance letters filtered by:

  • Submission Track

  • Submission Type

  • Submission Tag

  • Custom Fields

Get as specific as you need without manually sorting anything.

🎯 Small Enhancements That Make a Big Difference

A few under-the-hood upgrades worth mentioning:

  • Add-ons now support quantity limits per option. Works in both ticket purchase form and standalone add-ons page.

  • You can now add PO Numbers for orders in backend order management view

  • Submission limit per author can exclude co-authorships, if needed
