Here’s how session scanner works

Guest reaches event venue

  • Guest enters through the event main entrance

Goes to reception area

  • Stops for security check at the reception area
  • For self-service, goes to a kiosk to check-in or to print badge
  • If no kiosk, goes to reception staff for check-in and badge printing

Guest either goes to a self-service kiosk, or the reception desk to check-in or to get the badge and check-in

Goes to Self-service kiosk

  • Guest brings badge towards scanner camera
  • Scanner scans the badge
  • On successful scanning, scanner confirms event check-in

Interacts with Reception staff

  • Staff asks for guest’s name to check-in
  • Prints out a badge with QR code
  • Confirms event check-in and gives out the badge

Guest goes to sessions with QR embedded badge in the lanyard

Enters a session room

  • Guest goes to a session venue
  • Checks in to the session by scanning the badge
  • Session attendance is automatically saved into Dryfta
  • The process is repeated as many times during the event for each session

Once the event is over, event volunteers can download the attendance for all guests in CSV format


  • Exports most active attendees data into CSV format
