Why isn't a published mandatory submission question showing up for applicants?

Last updated Jul 21, 2026

Question

I have a submission question marked as published and mandatory, but it doesn't appear to applicants when they submit their applications. Additionally, answers to this question in accepted submissions seem to be missing. What could be causing this?

Answer

If a submission question is configured to display only for 'Accepted Submissions,' it will not appear to applicants during the initial submission process. Ensure that the question is set to display for the relevant submission phases (e.g., initial submission) to make it visible to applicants.

Also, verify that the question is assigned to all applicable submission types, as it may be enabled for some types but not others.

Missing answers in accepted submissions could be due to the question not being required or visible at the time of initial submission.
