Why is a different discount code applied and how to manage discount codes for multiple ticket types?

In Dryfta, I have several discount codes across multiple sub-ticket types, and I noticed that sometimes a different discount code applies automatically instead of the one I expect. Why does this happen, and do I need to create separate discount codes for each sub-ticket type? Also, is there a way to duplicate discount codes to save time?

When multiple discount codes exist with overlapping eligibility criteria, Dryfta automatically applies the discount code that provides the higher value to the attendee. For example, if two discount codes apply to "Speakers" with the same membership status, the system applies the one with the better discount.

If you have multiple sub-ticket types (e.g., early bird, regular, late tickets) with separate pricing, you will need to create individual discount codes for each ticket type or combination of ticket types.

To apply a discount code only when purchasing multiple ticket types together, adjust the discount settings:

1. **Ticket Type Selection**: For the combined discount code, select only the specific ticket types that should trigger this discount without mixing different pricing tiers.

2. **Discount Validation Settings**: Choose the option "Purchasing multiple quantities of different ticket types" to ensure the discount applies only when the specified ticket types are bought together.

Regarding duplication, Dryfta has introduced a "Copy" function for discount codes. This allows you to copy an existing discount code along with its settings, creating a new one with “-copy” appended to the code and title. However, copied discount codes can only be edited if they have not yet been used. After usage, editing the code is disabled for data integrity.
