Why don't some users see the check-in button or program schedule in the Dryfta app?

Last updated Jul 1, 2026

Question

Some attendees report that the check-in button for sessions does not appear on their app, and some cannot see their personalized program schedule (My Schedule) loading, showing 'no data found'. Additionally, some Apple users find the 'Connections' feature button greyed out while Android users can access it. What are the possible reasons for these issues and how can they be resolved?

Answer

In the Dryfta event app, the check-in button for sessions appears automatically starting 5 minutes before the session begins. If attendees do not see the check-in button, ensure that they are accessing the session within this time window. Variances between Apple and Android users could be due to app settings or delays in feature availability.

Regarding the 'Connections' feature (viewing attendee connections in the app), it is controlled via the App Publisher settings. If the 'Attendees' menu or 'Connections' tab is disabled, the button will appear greyed out or not functional. Enabling these options in the app publisher dashboard allows users to access their connections. Note that Android and Apple apps may behave differently depending on these settings.

For users seeing 'no data found' under 'My Schedule', this typically means they do not have any sessions added to their personal schedule. Confirm that the user has added sessions, and verify the schedule assignments in the event management backend. This issue can also sometimes manifest due to app syncing delays or specific device issues, so collecting device model/name for troubleshooting can be useful.

If intermittent loading issues occur, advise users to ensure they have the latest app version installed and a stable internet connection. Some variability may be due to device-specific factors that require further investigation.

In summary, to resolve these issues:
- Check the timing for session check-in availability (5 minutes before session start).
- Enable 'Attendees' menu and 'Connections' in App Publisher settings for connection features.
- Verify that attendees have sessions added to their personal schedule for 'My Schedule' to display data.
- Collect device information when troubleshooting persistent schedule loading problems.
- Ensure all users have updated app versions and stable internet connectivity.
