Why Do Some Email Clients Show a Broken Image in Dryfta Email Campaigns?

Last updated Jul 20, 2026

Question

When I send an email campaign using Dryfta, the preview or some email clients show a broken image, which looks like a small logo or icon. What causes this, and can it be fixed?

Answer

Dryfta embeds a tiny 1x1 pixel tracking image in every email campaign to monitor engagement. This tracking image is normally invisible in most email clients.

However, in certain web-based email clients—such as Outlook 365 or some setups accessing Google Suite—it can appear as a broken image icon. This happens due to the way those email clients or browsers handle or block this tracking image.

This behavior is not something controlled or fixable from Dryfta's end, as it depends on the email client and its image handling policies. Generally, this broken image does not affect the functionality of the email campaign itself.
