Submit Abstract Button Not Visible in Profile

Last updated Jul 17, 2026

Question

Why can't authors see the 'Submit Abstract' button in their profile on Dryfta, and how can it be enabled?

Answer

The 'Submit Abstract' button may not appear in an author's profile if the Submission settings are configured to display the button only to 'late-breaking authors' or a similar restricted group. To enable all authors to see this button, navigate to the Submission settings in the Dryfta admin panel and uncheck any options that restrict the button to specific author categories. Once this setting is adjusted, the 'Submit Abstract' button will be displayed to all eligible authors.

In addition, the 'My submissions' menu item, which allows authors to access their submissions and submit new abstracts, must be enabled. If authors or admins cannot see the 'My submissions' button in their profile menu (usually accessed by hovering over the profile icon in the top right corner), check that this menu is enabled in the admin settings. If it was disabled, enable it so that the 'New submission' button becomes accessible to all authors.

Ensure that the authors are logged in, as the submission functions are available only to authenticated users.
