How to upload or replace a large dropdown list of members in a custom registration question tied to discounts

Last updated Jul 20, 2026

Question

What is the best way to upload a new list of members for a custom dropdown question in the attendee registration form that is connected to multiple discounts? Is there an easy way to replace the entire list without manually deleting each entry?

Answer

To upload a new list of members to a custom dropdown field in the registration form, you can edit the field, scroll to the last option, and use the "Add options" feature to bulk add members by entering them one per line. This will append the new members to the existing list.

If you want to replace the entire list, you will need to delete all existing options first. This can be done using the Bulk Delete function, which removes all current entries at once. After that, you can bulk add the new list.

Important: Each dropdown option has a unique ID that links to saved user profiles and discount configurations. Deleting and recreating options results in new IDs, causing existing saved data to become invalid. Proceed with full replacement only if you can accept that existing links to these options will break.

Currently, there is no automated way to replace the entire dropdown list without manual deletion followed by bulk addition.
