How to Switch a Conference Registration to Another Attendee in Dryfta

Last updated Jul 20, 2026

Question

What are the steps to switch a conference registration from one attendee to another in Dryfta, and why might the original attendee still appear as an attendee after the switch?

Answer

To switch a conference registration from one attendee to another in Dryfta, you can reassign the ticket directly from the order details page by selecting the new attendee.

However, note that this process only reassigns the ticket but does not automatically update the attendee roles. The original registrant retains the attendee role in their profile until it is manually removed.

To fully complete the switch, you need to manually unassign the attendee role from the original registrant's profile. This design prevents unintended unassignment of roles, especially when a person has multiple tickets.

If you encounter a message requiring you to cancel a ticket when trying to unassign the role, ensure you are unassigning the role within the attendee's profile and not attempting to cancel a ticket that no longer exists.

The unassignment must be done manually in the profile's attendee role management section.
