How to set up reviewer rating questions with binary scores and calculate average scores in Dryfta

Can I create 5 review questions for submissions in Dryfta, each rated as 0 (fail) or 1 (pass), and get a total score per reviewer? Also, does the system calculate an average score across all reviewers to determine final acceptance?

In the Dryfta platform's abstract submissions module, you can create multiple rating questions for reviewers. Although the system doesn't currently allow a rating scale that starts from 0, you can set the scale starting from 1 (1 being the lowest).

When reviewers rate submissions using these questions, the system calculates a cumulative sum of the individual ratings for each reviewer to generate a total score per submission. It then computes an average of these total scores across all reviewers, which can be used to base decisions such as acceptance or rejection.

If you plan to use scoring in review forms, it is advisable to create the ratings questions and perform some test reviews before releasing them to actual reviewers to ensure the scoring and averaging behave as expected.
