Last updated Jul 21, 2026

Question

How can I restrict an admin user's access in Dryfta so that they can only use the check-in kiosk and session check-in features?

Answer

To limit an admin's access to only the check-in kiosk and session check-in features in Dryfta, follow these steps:

1. Go to People > Roles & Access Control and create a new admin role.
2. In this role's permissions, under 'Module Access', select only 'Kiosk' and 'Session Checkin'.
3. Under 'Actions', select 'Checkin Attendees' and 'Session Checkins'. Save the role.
4. Then, go to the admin user's profile and assign this newly created role to them.

Note: Only the super user can edit or remove admin roles, and some role details may not be visible unless logged in as the super user.

Also, to have this role, the user must be an admin to access the backend and be assigned the custom role.
