How to Fix the 'No Payment System Has Been Set Up on the Site' Message During Registration

Last updated Jul 19, 2026

Question

Why do some registrants see a message stating 'no payment system has been set up on the site' when trying to complete payment, while others can register successfully?

Answer

This message typically appears when certain ticket types do not have any payment methods selected in their settings. Even if other ticket types work fine, if a user selects a ticket type without any associated payment methods, the system cannot process payments and displays this message. To fix the issue:

1. Go to the admin dashboard and navigate to the Ticket types section.
2. Edit the settings for the ticket types that cause the issue.
3. Under the 'Payment methods' section, select the enabled payment methods such as 'Credit Card' or others applicable.
4. Save the changes.

After this update, users selecting these ticket types will be able to complete their payments without encountering the error. If you continue to experience issues, review all ticket types to ensure payment methods are consistently assigned where required.
