How to find attendees with multiple tickets and resolve discrepancies in ticket reports

Question
How can event administrators find attendees who have purchased multiple tickets, and why might there be discrepancies when running reports under different base modules like Users and Tickets?
Answer
To find attendees with more than one ticket, run a custom report in Dryfta by selecting 'Users' as the base module, then choosing the 'Attendee' usertype. Select columns such as first name, last name, and email. In the fixed fields section, include 'Associated tickets' and 'Ticket status'. Save and run this report to get a list of attendees and their associated tickets.
If discrepancies arise between reports generated using 'Users' as the base module versus 'Tickets', ensure that date ranges and filters are applied consistently across all base modules. Previously, date ranges were not applied correctly to all base modules except for 'Contacts', causing differences in the number of records returned. After updates, reports under different base modules should display matching results.
After identifying attendees with multiple tickets, navigate to Orders & Invoices to remove any additional tickets for those attendees if necessary.
This process helps maintain accurate event registration data and prevents attendees from holding multiple tickets when not allowed.
