How to Enable Self-Assignment for Reviewers in the Paper Review Process

How can I enable self-assignment for reviewers so they can assign abstracts or papers to themselves during the review process?

To allow reviewers to self-assign abstracts or papers during the review process, you need to enable the setting labeled "Allow reviewers to assign abstracts to self" found under the Submission settings in your event administration dashboard. 

This setting is separate from the "bid on abstracts" feature, which allows reviewers to express interest but does not automatically enable self-assignment. 

After enabling this option, reviewers will be able to assign submissions to themselves directly within the review interface.
