How to Enable Custom Translations Instead of Google Translate on Your Dryfta Site

Last updated Jul 22, 2026

Question

I have entered custom translations in French, Spanish, and Portuguese for the post-conference survey, but when I switch languages on the site, it still shows Google Translate versions instead of my custom translations. How can I make the site display my custom translations?

Answer

To have your custom translations appear instead of automatic Google Translate versions, you need to change the language translation setting in your Dryfta site.

Go to the top right corner of your admin interface and click on the Settings icon. Under the Language Translator option, switch from "Google Translator" to "Custom."

This setting will replace the Google Translate dropdown with a dropdown containing the specific languages for which you have added custom translations. Once set, your site will display the translations you have input manually, rather than machine translations.
