How to Enable Authors to Upload Additional Files After Submission Deadline in Dryfta

Authors are unable to upload additional files to their submissions after the submission deadline has passed. How can I allow them to add or revise files after the deadline without reopening the entire submission?

In Dryfta, authors can only make changes to their submissions until the submission deadline has passed to maintain submission integrity during review. If the deadline has passed, authors cannot upload additional files unless the deadline is extended. To allow further uploads or revisions, admins can:

1. Extend the global submission deadline in the Submission settings to let all authors edit their submissions.
2. Alternatively, edit specific submission fields under Abstracts & Reviews > Submission Questions and set individual deadlines, allowing selective fields to remain open for editing after the main deadline.

Furthermore, if a reviewer requests a revision and sets the submission status to "Revision Requested" the author can then make changes regardless of the general deadline.

If changes need to be made after the deadline and no revision was requested, extending the relevant deadlines is necessary for authors to upload files again. This flexible deadline setting allows event organizers to accommodate multi-stage submission processes, such as draft submission, full paper uploads, and presentation uploads, without reopening the entire submission form.
