Effect of Automatic Review Assignment on Manual Assignments and Reporting on Reviewers' Submission Load

If I manually assign some submissions to reviewers and then run the automatic review assignment in Dryfta, will the automatic assignment override or add to the manual assignments? Also, is there a way to generate a report showing how many submissions each reviewer is assigned to?

In Dryfta, when you manually assign reviewers to submissions and then use the automatic review assignment feature, the system respects your manual assignments. It will not override or remove any manually assigned reviewers. The automatic assignment process will only assign additional reviewers to submissions that have fewer assigned reviewers than the specified target number. 

For example, if a submission already has the target number of assigned reviewers due to manual assignment, automatic assignment will leave it unchanged rather than adding more reviewers.

To monitor or report on reviewer assignments, you can create a Custom Report within Dryfta. In the Custom Reports tool, you can include columns such as Submission ID, Submission Title, Reviewer names, Review status, and other relevant fields. This report can help you see which reviewers are assigned to which submissions, and how many submissions each reviewer has been assigned. 

Additionally, under "Manage Submissions," applying the filter for "Submission Status / Pending Assignment" allows you to track submissions that are awaiting reviewer assignment.
