Can submitters unsubmit or edit their abstract/session application after submission?
Last updated Jul 22, 2026
Question
Once an abstract or session application is submitted, can the submitter unsubmit it to make edits? If not, do they need to contact the admin to make changes?
Answer
Submitters can 'withdraw' their submitted abstract or session application themselves through a 'Withdraw' button available in their author's dashboard. This allows them to effectively unsubmit their application.
During the period before the submission deadline passes, submitters can make all necessary changes on their own without needing to contact the admin. The withdrawn submission remains in the system for 14 days, during which the submitter can cancel the withdrawal if desired.
After 14 days, the submission is permanently deleted from the system. Therefore, submitters do not have to email admins to request edits unless special circumstances arise after the deadline or withdrawal period.
