Can I update a discount code after it has been used by a registrant?

Last updated Jul 19, 2026

Question

Is it possible to update or change a discount code on an order after a registrant has already used it during registration? For example, if a registrant used Discount Code A but should have used Discount Code B, can the admin update the order to reflect Discount Code B instead?

Answer

Once a discount code has been used by registrants in completed orders, the Dryfta system does not allow the discount code on those orders to be changed or updated retroactively.

Additionally, discount codes that have already been used by multiple users cannot be edited.

To apply the correct discount code for a registrant, you would need to handle it outside the discount code editing; for example, by issuing refunds and reprocessing payments with the correct discount code or contacting support for alternative solutions.
