Can I rename shortcodes used for personalizing emails in Dryfta?

Is it possible to rename shortcodes like {customfield_290} used for abstract custom fields or submission types in Dryfta? Also, what could cause a shortcode not to show up or work in email notifications?

No, it is not possible to rename shortcodes in Dryfta. Shortcodes such as {customfield_290} are system-generated identifiers for custom fields and cannot be changed. 

If a shortcode does not appear or work in email notifications, it may be due to two reasons: 

(1) The shortcode is being used in an email notification where it is not available. Check the sidebar while editing the email notification to confirm if the shortcode is listed; if not, it won't work there. 

(2) The shortcode returns empty if there is no associated data for that particular submission or entity. Ensure that the custom field or data corresponding to the shortcode is filled for the item being referenced.
